We were using MailChimp, but now we’re testing Klaviyo and Zaius, a newer platform. Both of these let you get more customized and personal with emails. MailChimp got us to a certain stage and then it wasn’t as robust which is why we graduated to these platforms. MailChimp is a great easy way to get up and running and a good start, but based on the design of emails Klaviyo worked well, and then testing Zaius has been even better, but nothing has stuck.

Klaviyo is really good for sending emails triggered by certain events. We can build filters for each email sequence, so customers will get emails automatically which is super nice. Its downside is that it doesn’t integrate with a lot of things, which is why we also use Drip.

Klaviyo is a cool tool--it gives us a lot of good data. It is also very intuitive.

Klaviyo gives you a bit more control. I looked into Constant Contact as well, but Klaviyo was recommended to me by another founder. It is very good.

We really like Klaviyo for marketing emails. It’s less well-known than its competitors, but it’s a fantastic service. It lets you see a timeline of different customers, and allows you to easily make workflows, like a welcome email workflow. You can also connect it to a third party database, and quickly see timelines of purchase behavior and emails sent/opened for customers.
