One of our biggest challenges is being able to separate the signal from the noise. We have many data sources — Shopify, Chargify, Google Analytics, MailChimp, etc. — and they don’t always overlap or even agree. Plus, when you’re operating with less than the big retailers with unique monthly views, sometimes the data doesn’t even tell you anything significant. We keep thinking about upgrading Shopify and Chargify to the next plan because they keep a lot of data locked up if you don’t pay them, which isn’t the best for us, but we don’t know yet exactly how we’d operate with more data, so we haven’t made the move yet.

We charge our clients once a month, and when we started, my choices were FreshBooks or Chargify. With Chargify, the exceptions were a lot harder to manage, and I also didn't like their customer service.
