We are not using Stripe anymore. We started using it to take deposits, but we soon realized that we couldn't rebill the cards, so we switched back to They are technically the processors, but Bank of America is the service provider.

Authorize.Net - Best Credit Card Processing Tools for Startups

Authorize.Net is a credit card processor that enables you to accept payment through a number of different channels, including mail, telephone payments, retail and mobile. Unlike other credit card processors, Authorize.Net works only as a payment gateway, meaning you need to set up your own merchant account. (Competitors like Stripe and Braintree have an embedded merchant account in their platform.) Authorize.Net is more complicated than most other credit card processors, but its staggering number of payment platforms and integrations can make it well worth the extra hassle if you’re up to the challenge.

How startups use Authorize.Net?

Companies of all sizes can use Authorize.Net, but it’s most frequently used by product retailers that need a point of sale (POS) software for in-person transactions.

How much does Authorize.Net cost?

Authorize.Net charges the industry-standard 2.9% plus 30 cents per transaction, but also has a monthly gateway cost of $25 and a setup fee of $49. Keep in mind that this price does not include fees from your required separate merchant account.
